Mitchell PTA Scholarship 2023
Please complete the google form.   Your application is not complete until the google form is submitted and the following items are received:

1. A 500-WORD ESSAY describing how your time at Mitchell Elementary School has influenced your life
2. A RESUME of your school, religious and community activities and honors, volunteer work and employment
3. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION from three adults in the community who are not relatives.   Please indicate their relationship to you (teacher, neighbor, coach, minister, employer, etc.)

Eligibility:
1. Graduating Senior enrolled in a PISD school
2. Attended Mitchell Elementary 1st - 5th grade
3. Enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program at a college or university for the following academic year with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester

Scholarships will be of a general nature and awarded based on scholastic ability, character, volunteerism, community involvement, leadership potential, desire and financial need.

Volunteer at Mitchell this Year! If you want to be involved on or off campus please Sign up now!  Volunteer applications must be completed and filed each school year. 

 

 Llamando a Todas las Personas que Hablan Español: Necesitamos su ayuda! Calling all Spanish speakers: We need your help! We are looking for volunteers to support our Mitchell community and make all events as inclusive as possible. Any level of participation helps. If you're bilingual, reach out today (contactus@mitchellpta.net) and see what opportunities are available.

Lunch Visitor Sign Up

Parents are allowed to eat lunch with their students Tuesdays and Thursdays starting October 4. Availability for each lunch session is limited, and visitors must sign up in advance through the Sign-up Genius. We ask that you limit your sign-ups to once a month so more families will have the opportunity. Please delete your sign-up if you are unable to attend so others may sign up.

 

All visitors will be expected to sign-in upon arrival and sign out when departing. Bring your driver's license to scan to get a visitor nametag when signing in.

 

Parents may only eat with their child. Your child will not be allowed to invite another friend. Parents may not sit with the class, a separate visitor area will be prepared. Parents may NOT bring non-school age siblings. There will be no lunch visitors the last week of each semester, the last three weeks of school due to STAAR testing and possibly other weeks throughout the year due to other in-school events.

Mitchell Galaxy Way 

 

Help support our school with your Galaxy Way donation today! Our Galaxy Way program helps to fund all of our PTA events and school programs throughout the year. All Galaxy Way donors will be recognized with a Star on our Galaxy Way Wall at the school as well as online and in our yearbook.
